Dr. Edward Roekaert Embrechts
Rector

PhD candidate, summa cum laude degree by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (China). Master's degree in Hospitality Administration and master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research by Cornell University (Ithaca, New York, United States). He has been the rector of Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola and vice-president of the World Trade Center in Lima. He is in charge of strategic planning and conducting operations for the development and growth of Undergraduate and Graduate departments. He is focused on promoting education in Peru, through accreditation systems that foster a self-assessment and continuous improvement culture, placing UPC as the leading higher-education institution in the country and one of the most recognized of the region.

Doctoral degree in Business Strategy by Maastricht School of Management (The Netherlands). PhD in Strategic Business Administration by Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP).

 

Milagros Morgan Rozas

Vice-Rector for Student Affairs

PhD candidate in Business Administration and Management by Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya (Spain). Master's degree in Business Administration by Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC).

 

 

Dr. Gustavo Guerrero Vásquez

Vice-Rector for Planning and Development

Doctoral degree and master's degree in Production Engineering by Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (Brasil). He studied Management at Harvard University and INCAE Business School.

 

Carlos Bazán Leigh

General Secretary

Master's degree in Tourism Management and Marketing by Bournemouth University (England) and doctoral studies in Education at Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL). He had worked as president, director and managing director in Australia Peru Chamber of Commerce Inc. (APCCI), Latin American director in Global Consultancy, and Commission for the Promotion of Peruvian Exports and Tourism (PromPerú) official, leading regional development projects.

 

Guillermo Quiroga

Director of Graduate Studies

PhD candidate in Business Administration and Management by Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya (Spain). He has been Academic Director of the Graduate Management department at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC). Opinion leader on management and innovation subjects.

 


Carlos Adrianzen Cabrera

Dean of the School of Economics

PhD candidate in Administration by Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya (Spain). Master's degree in Economics by Boston University (United States) and master's degree in Administration (MBA) by Université du Québec (Canada). He continued graduate studies in Macroeconomic Policy Management and Business Management at Harvard and Pittsburgh universities. He is a senior fellow of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University (United States).

 

Jack Zilberman Fleischman

Dean of the School of Business

Master's degree in Business Administration by ESAN and bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering by Technion (Israel). He is studying to obtain a master's degree in Higher Education at Universidad Europea de Madrid (Spain). He has been Commercial Manager in GMD and Commercial Director in Telefónica. He is the business manager in companies such as Fundo San Jacinto and Cloudware 360.

 

Janina María de las Casas Diez Canseco

Dean of the School of Design

MBA by Escuela Adolfo Ibañez-INCAE. Graphic designer graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP). She took specialization courses of Interior Design and Jewelery at Studio Arts College International (SACI, Italy), Branding and Marketing at Kellogg School of Management, and Graphic Design at the Yale University program in Switzerland. She has directed the Marketing, Product Design and Global Trends departments in Belcorp. 

 

Jorge Cabrera Berríos

Dean of the School of Engineering

Master's degree in Systems Engineering with specialization in Information Technology Management by Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM). MBA by Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC). Industrial Engineer graduated from Universidad de Lima. He has extensive experience in information technology and business management in companies from the maritime transport, health, software and education sectors.

 

Luis Alfonso García-Corrochano

Dean of the School of Law

Master's degree in International Law by Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain) and PhD candidate by the same university. MBA by Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola and lawyer's degree by Universidad de Lima. He has worked as Vice-Minister of Justice, Legal Advisor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and member of the Consultative Commission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Currently, he is an Alternate Member of the Superior Court of Managerial Responsibilities of the Comptroller General of the Republic and Arbitrator of the Arbitration Center of the Chamber of Commerce of Lima.

 

Miguel Cruchaga Belaunde

Dean of the School of Architecture

Graduate studies at Harvard Graduate School of Design. Architect graduated from Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería. He has been president of the Citizen Institute and the Peruvian Academy of Architecture and Urbanism, and Senator of the Republic. Winner of the National Award of Culture (1972).

 

Dr. Pascual Chiarella

Dean of the School of Health Sciences

Doctoral degree in Medicine and master's degree by Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH). Pediatric pulmonologist, pediatric doctor and surgeon graduated from the same institution. He has worked as director of Grupo Pediátrico S.A., and full professor and International Relations director at UPCH. Currently, he is an associated academician of the National Academy of Medicine and member of the Pediatric Peruvian Society, of the Peruvian Society of Pulmonology and the Latin American Thoracic Society.

 

Urs Schaerer

Dean of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Administration

Graduate from the School of Hospitality of Lausanne (Switzerland). He has been General Manager in world renowned five-star hotels, such as El Pardo DoubleTree by Hilton and Crillon Hotel, in Lima; or the Miramare Beach Hotel, in Rodhes, and the Corfu Palace Hotel (both in Greece).

 

Dra. Úrsula Freundt-Thurne Freundt

Dean of the School of Communications

Doctoral degree in Business Administration and Management by Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya (Spain). She has a specialization in the Master of Business Communications (MBC) program by St. Thomas University in Minnesota (United States). Licentiate in Communication Sciences from Universidad de Lima. Member of the Latin American Council of Accreditation in Journalism Education (CLAEP).
