UPC is proud to be the first Peruvian university institutionally accredited by WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), one of the six regional accreditation bodies of the United States of America, and one of the most internationally prestigious.

According to the 2015 Academic Ranking of World Universities of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, 33 out of the 55 best universities in the world are American and all of them have been institutionally accredited by a regional body. Out of these 33, 9 have been accredited by WSCUC, including Stanford University (#2), UC Berkeley (#4), the California Institute of Technology (#7) and the University of California Los Angeles, UCLA (#12).

This important international accreditation represents a valuable contribution to improve the Peruvian higher education system, and reaffirms the strong commitment UPC has with academic excellence and the country’s development.

We have different academic programs with national and international program accreditations which validate their high academic quality.

• Communication and Journalism program, by the Latin American Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism (CLAEP, in Spanish)
• Communication and Advertising program, by the International Advertising Association (IAA)
• Electronic Engineering, Software­ Engineering and Information Systems Engineering programs, by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) and ICACIT
• Industrial Engineering and Civil Engineering programs, by ICACIT
• Law program, by the Accreditation Council for Legal Education (CONAED, in Spanish).
• Nutrition and Dietetics program, by the National System for Evaluation, Certification and Accreditation of Educational Quality (SINEACE, in Spanish)

WE HAVE THE ISO 9001:2015 QUALITY CERTIFICATION

The only university in Peru with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Certification: For the design, development and academic processes of all undergraduate, regular and Working Adult (EPE) academic programs, and graduate programs.

UPC has a close link with leading companies in the world, including Google, Microsoft, SAP and Samsumg, among others. This allows us to periodically update and perfect the academic programs curricula in order to adjust them to the needs of a globalized world. These companies contribute to course planning and teaching.

INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED WITH 5 STARS BY THE QS STARS RATING

UPC was awarded 5 stars (maximum ‑rating) in four categories of the QS STARS Rating by the British Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) rating institution, which assesses the academic quality of universities around the world. We share the same rating, in some categories, with important universities in the world, like the MIT (USA), the University of Cambridge (UK) and the University of Oxford (UK).
