Dr. Edward Roekaert Embrechts

President, CEO & Rector

Doctoral degree in Hospitality and Tourism Administration by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, China. Master’s degree in Hospitality Administration and Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research by Cornell University, Ithaca, United States. Master's degree in Senior Management and Leadership by Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC), and Master's degree in Senior Management and Leadership by Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña. He has been the Rector of Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola. He was elected Accreditation Commissioner of the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA), in the United States. He is focused on improving education in Peru through accreditation systems which promote a self-study and continuous improvement culture, positioning UPC as a leading higher education institution in the country and one of the most renowned in the region.

Dr. Milagros Morgan Rozas

She has been the Vice-Rector for University Services and Director of Knowledge Management at UPC.

Dr. Gustavo Guerrero Vásquez

Vice-Rector for Planning and Development

Doctor and Master of Production Engineering by the Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). Master of Executive Management and Leadership by the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC). Industrial Engineer by the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He has studies in Management at Harvard University and the INCAE Business School. Former dean of the School of Engineering at UPC. He has been the General Manager of Rosser, Industria y Comercio. He has vast experience in implementing management and innovation models in different industries.

Cecilia Pérez Belevan

Human Resources Director

Master of Senior Management and Leadership from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC), and Master of Senior Management and Leadership from Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña. Bachelor of Business Administration from Universidad de Lima. She was the Regional Human Resources Manager of SGS del Perú SAC. She was also the Human Resources Manager of DHL International SRL, Human Resources Manager of NCR del Perú, and Human Resources Network Leader of NCR LATAM.

Juan Martín Valdivia Aguilar

Certified Public Accountant and Bachelor of Accounting and Finance from Universidad de Lima. More than 20 years of professional experience in positions such as CFO in Cibertec, Financial Manager for Planning and Operations at UPC, Financial Planning and Control Manager at Citigroup, Deputy Manager for Financial Planning at Banco de Crédito del Perú, Category Manager at Belcorp and professor at the Business School at UPC.

Financial Director with more than 20 years of professional experience leading administrative and financial areas in educational institutions.

Diego Vega Castro-Sayan

Director of the Legal and Compliance Department and Secretary General

MBA by Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC). Lawyer by the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Specialization studies at the University of Toronto (Canada). He was Advisor and Senior Officer (2005 - 2007) in the Peruvian Presidential Office, as well as President and Vice President of the Consumer Protection Commission No.1 of the National Institute for the Defense of Free Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property - Indecopi (2016-2021). He is a professor at the UPC’s School of Law (since 2005) and Arbitrator of the Lima Chamber of Commerce (since 2011).

Marizoila Fontana Roos

Director of Sustainability and Social Responsibility

Master in Development Practice from The University of Queensland (Queensland, Australia) and Master in Service Leadership and Innovation from the Rochester Institute of Technology (New York, USA). Licentiate in Education from the San Ignacio de Loyola University (USIL) and Bachelor in Hospitality Management from the same university. Postgraduate studies in Management of Development Projects from the IDB, and in Sustainable Management from Duke University. She has more than 15 years of experience in educational management and more than 10 years collaborating and developing social responsibility projects and programs to improve the quality of life of vulnerable communities.

Ing. Jorge Cabrera Berríos

General Director of Schools and Graduate School

Master of Executive Management and Leadership by the Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC). PhD (C) in Systems Engineering at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM). Graduate from the Master Program in Systems Engineering with mention in Information Technology Management by the UNMSM and from the Master Program in Business Administration (MBA) by the UPC. Industrial Engineer by the Universidad de Lima. He has vast experience in information technology and business management in maritime, health, software, and education companies.

Arq. Miguel Cruchaga Belaunde

Dean of the School of Architecture

Architecture by the School of Architecture of the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (1962). He has graduate studies in Human Behavior & Housing Design at the Graduate School of Design of Harvard University (U.S.A.). He was a member of the Board of the Universidad Andrés Bello from 2016 to 2018 (Chile). We has worked in association with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and as Senior Associate to Frank O. Gehry & Associates. He was the president of the Academia Peruana de Arquitectura y Urbanismo (2005-2007). In 1972, he received the National Culture Award for his work in architecture.

He has worked in different areas: pediatric group director, full professor and International Relations director at UPCH. He is also the executive director of Consorcio de Universidades.

Jack Zilberman Fleischman

Mauricio Novoa Cain

Dean of the Schools of Contemporary Arts, Human Sciences, and Education

Lawyer by the Universidad de Lima and PhD by the University of Cambridge. He has been a visiting professor at the universities of Gerona, Indiana, and the Warburg Institute of the University of London. His publications and books on the history of ideas have been edited in Peru, the U.S.A., Germany, Colombia, and Mexico. Since 2016, he is the president in Peru of Goberna América Latina - Escuela de Política y Alto Gobierno (Fundación Ortega y Gasset-Gregorio Marañón).

Giannina Robinson Díaz
